How to update
Follow these steps to safely update QuanticPhone without losing data or configurations.

Backup the resource
Create a ZIP backup of the quanticPhone folder before making any changes.

Backup the database
This step is only needed if the patch notes mention database changes.
To export using HeidiSQL:
- 1Right-click your database → "Export database as SQL"
- 2Make sure the "Create" boxes are checked and "Drop" boxes unchecked
- 3In "Data", select "Insert ignore (do not update existing)"
- 4Choose a filename and location, then click Export

Delete the old version
Do not delete without backing up first!
Delete the quanticPhone folder from your server resources.

Download the new version
Download the latest version from the Cfx.re portal and extract it into your server's resources folder.

Reapply configuration
Reapply any configuration changes you made. Unless the patch notes say otherwise, you can copy the entire shared/ and server/custom/ folders from your backup.
Always read the patch notes before copying configs — some versions change existing fields that need to be applied manually.
